Sharpening using the Amount feature

Here, the sliders are used to control the degree of sharpness of the image. The slider will control the sharpener’s impact on the image. On its part, the sharpener will identify the variance which exists between the various pixels.

Sharpening using the Radius feature

The Radius feature is used to control the work of the Amount feature. As such, it controls how the Amount function can affect the neighboring pixels while acting on an individual pixel. In this process, sharpening is specifically applied to standalone pixels.

Hence, the radius is in a position to allow the sharpening control to alter other pixels which are located next to the pixel which is being acted upon. This is a form of compounding effect since the sharpening effect is applied to extend to other pixels. This makes the work of the user to be easy and fast.

Sharpening using the Detail feature

This is a very useful lightroom presets for instagram since it assists the user to preserve the details in the high-frequency areas of the photo. It works slightly different from the radius feature. Here, it does not work on the individual pixels on a standalone basis.

Instead, the slider tends to concentrate on the edges which have been identified within the picture. This has an advantage in that the user is in a position to preserve all types of grouped pixels which the program has identified as an edge. Sharpening using the Masking feature

Here, the slider is used to control how much of the whole image will be affected by the entire process of sharpening. For example, if the user selects 0, then the sharpening process will change all the pixels equally. When the user increases the number, the sharpening tends to concentrate on the small contrasting sets of pixels. The user needs to note that the above features cannot be used to deal with blurry or out of focus images. Although the process can improve them to some extent, it cannot add other details which did not exist in the original image.
